We (Kate Parizeau and Mike von Massow) attended a series of meetings on food waste hosted by the Metro Vancouver regional government earlier this summer. Metro Van has been very active in working to reduce food waste, including banning the final disposal of organic waste at landfills and transfer stations as of 2015.
